Christopher Alvarado

A 10-year veteran of the hospitality design industry, Christopher Alvarado blends his unique experience in design and travel to drive creative vision and programming from concept to reality as senior director of design and development services at Two Roads Hospitality. Alvarado began his career with sbe Entertainment Group in Los Angeles where he played a key role in executing the Philippe Starcks’ design vision for the first SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Katsuya Restaurants, as well as several original restaurant and nightlife concepts. Following his tenure at sbe, Alvarado joined the Gettys Group first in Chicago and then in New York.

Since joining Commune Hotels and Resorts in 2012 (now Two Roads Hospitality following the company’s 2016 merger with Destination Hotels), Alvarado has played a lead instrumental role as senior director of design. In collaboration with numerous departments, he has figured into the successful conceptualization, design development, and opening of multiple properties across the company’s portfolio of brands. Alvarado continues to drive concept and design efforts for the Thompson Hotels and the soon-to-be-launched tommie brands for Two Roads Hospitality. A graduate of ArtCenter College of Design’s Environmental Design Program, Alvarado is currently based in New York.
